Anpetu Was’te – good morning in the Lakota language. This month’s Lakota word is Ptanyetu - the definition is fall or autumn. I am once again using fall/autumn as it is now actually fall and we here at Sinte Gleska are in back in session and the our classes and the students are back in the swing of things.
This past weekend September 28th and 29th we hosted the Northern Plains Indian Art Market. It was in held in Sioux Falls, SD again and I was told it was a great success. We are the host of this event, we do it to help our artists, not only locally, but artist through the Midwest as well. You can see some the pieces and events that took place on SGU website. Be sure and visit it. There are so many talented native artist and this gives them a chance to show case their artist skills.
